Performance Testing
Objective data. Smarter training decisions. Clearer athlete development.
Evolution Athletic Performance provides practical performance testing for individual athletes, teams, clubs, schools and development programs across Sydney, The Illawarra & South Coast.
Measure What Matters
Testing is selected around the athlete, sport and purpose of the assessment. A focused battery may include:
Speed & Acceleration
Electronic speed gates measure qualities such as 10-metre acceleration and 20-metre sprint performance with reliable, objective timing.
Jump & Lower-Body Power
VALD ForceDecks can assess countermovement jump performance, lower-body power, force production and useful left-to-right comparisons.
Strength & Force Production
Where appropriate, isometric strength testing can provide additional information about force-production qualities and physical development.
Movement, Change of Direction & Athletic Capacity
Additional testing can assess movement competency, change of direction performance, mobility, upper-body power and sport-relevant conditioning when these measures suit the athlete or group.
Testing Built Around the Athlete or Team
EAP does not force every client through the same generic battery. Tests are chosen according to the athlete's age, training experience, sport, competitive level and the decisions the results need to support.
One-Off Testing Day
Establish objective baseline data for an athlete, squad or club and identify key strengths and development priorities.
Baseline & Re-Test Package
Test before and after a training phase, pre-season or competition period to track progress and evaluate whether the program is producing the intended adaptations.
Individual Athlete Assessment
A focused assessment for athletes and parents who want clearer information to guide training priorities and longer-term development.
What You Receive
• Clear individual athlete results
• Team or age group summaries where relevant
• Identification of key strengths and development areas
• Practical recommendations to guide training priorities
• A clear explanation of what the results mean
Results are interpreted in context. They are used to support coaching and programming decisions, not to label an athlete or reduce performance to a single score.
How It Works
1. Plan
We discuss the athlete or group, the purpose of testing and the most useful assessment battery.
2. Test
Testing is delivered in a structured, efficient format using professional equipment and consistent protocols.
3. Report & Apply
Results are organised into clear reports, explained in practical terms and translated into useful training priorities.
Professional Equipment. Practical Interpretation.
Testing combines VALD ForceDecks, electronic speed gates and selected field-based assessments. The value is not just collecting numbers, it is understanding what they mean and how they can improve the next phase of training.
